This is Milky enjoying his evening. Milky has a very sad story. In 2010 we discovered the deplorable state of a local council pound. We highlighted it and another NGO went and rescued all the puppies which we took in. They were admitted at a vet and sadly all died except for three – Milky, Forrest and Ms Husky. Ms Husky was adopted by one of vets whilst Milky and Forrest was adopted at one of our adoption drives. Milky was adopted by a nice family living in Ara Damansara. He led a happy life until tragedy struck in 2016. His adopter, the father of the family, passed away suddenly and the family had to move to an apartment due to financial issues. So Milly came to live with us and is still with us. Not a day goes by without us feeling sorry for him. Milky will be 11 this year and is on the MDDB Furkid Sponsorship programme. Sponsorship is RM60 a month and one person can sponsor as many dogs as they like. Sponsorship can be paid monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annually.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
