This poor boy’s owner went away and left Orbot to roam around freely. He did not have anyone in particular to feed him or watch over him. Therefore, when Orbot got in a fight with another dog, there was nobody to take him to get the emergency medical care he needed. He was clearly in agony, and the wound was teeming with maggots.

Eventually, someone kinder saw his clear distress and took him to get help. Orbot needed wound reconstruction surgery, and lots of medication and care. We are happy to say he is now feeling a lot better, and we hope soon that we can find this three-year-old sweet boy a better life in a safe and loving home. We’ll share an update soon!

Dogs and cats feel pain, just as we do. We are so glad we had the space for brave Orbot, but without kind people like you, Orbot would have had nowhere to go.
