We cannot imagine Sambalo’s distress. It is likely that someone tied a rope around his neck when he was a puppy, and then as he grew the rope tore away at his neck and skin. At only eight months old, this poor boy has probably spent the vast majority of his life in seething pain. What a thoughtless and cruel thing to do to an innocent dog. Sambalo is lucky to be alive.

Thankfully, he was rescued in time. The rope had cut deep into the tissue around the windpipe and the wound was necrotic. He desperately needed safety and care including wound reconstruction. Quite understandably, Sambalo is scared of people and will need a lot of time to heal and to learn to trust people. We are determined to give him a better future. However, dogs like Sambalo need your help too. Please help us show him that life can be full of happiness and free from pain.
