Beautiful Bovon may only be one-year-old, but he has already suffered far more than any dog ever should. He was rescued from deep inside the jungle. Bovon had a wounded and infected ear after another dog bit him. However, he also had an old and severe leg injury – most probably the result of a car hitting him and no one stopping to help.

Sadly, the injury was so bad that the only way to end his pain was to amputate the leg. It is tragic that Bovon will go through life missing a leg because he had no one to love him and no one to take him to get the help he needed.

Although he received the medical care and safety he required at Soi Dog, that was not all he needed. As his only experience of people was being let down by them, Bovon was an incredibly scared dog. Therefore, our behaviour team has been working with Bovon for months. They slowly built his trust and increased his confidence in new situations. It is an ongoing process but his progress to date has been remarkable. He now greets his friends with a wagging tail and a big smile. All thanks to Soi Dog donors, Bovon has a real chance of finding a new family and home in the future. Also, just look how fluffy and handsome he is now! 🧡
