Kedah Or Puchong For Blackey? Updates From Sha
Tweet |
Sha informed me yesterday that she has finally found a vet in Kedah who is willing to treat Blackey. This vet will charge RM600 for boarding (per month) and this is excluding medication. We all know sporo treatment is expensive simply because of the long duration.
Sha is in a dilemma because she cannot decide whether to keep Blackey in Kedah under this vet or to bring Blackey down here to Puchong for the treatment.
So, she’s asking for opinions.
My opinion would be – use your gut feeling about this vet. If you trust the vet enough and are able to communicate well with him, go right ahead.
The advantage of being near Blackey if she is treated in Kedah is that Sha would be able to visit frequently. It helps very much, this emotional support for Blackey.
There is no miracle dr needed for sporo. It is just administering the medication, which is Itraconazole and other supportive treatment, if necessary. If there is any magic ingredient, it is lots of tender loving care. I can see how much Sha cares for Blackey and that is crucial for her recovery.
Whenever my cats are sick, I camp at the clinic with them. Believe me, my vet always tells me how much that helps an animal heal. Even when Vixey was at her last stage, my vet told me that all he could provide was the clinical treatment (the medication and the procedures) but what mattered more was the loving care that we as owners could provide.
For Blackey’s emotional wellbeing. We wouldn’t want Blackey being fearful every day in a strange place without Sha.
So, I really feel since Sha has found a vet in Kedah who is willing to treat Blackey, Blackey should start on the treatment right away and Sha can provide the emotional support that is crucial to Blackey’s recovery.
We, from over here, will work on the funds and we’ll pray for Blackey.
Right now, there is RM300 waiting for Blackey. As soon as Sha agrees to get Blackey treated there, I’ll transfer the money over. The RM300 is from Sau Yee and Alida Mahyuddin.
