The highlands of Long Semadoh in northern Sarawak are filled with an abundance of cultural and natural wonders. It is home to the Lun Bawang community, with Adan rice being their main produce. Adan rice is a local variety that is cultivated through traditional practices. It is globally renowned for its fine grains, fragrance and taste, and part of that is because it is grown in high elevations with clear, unpolluted river water. Lets join McKenzie Martin as he tells us his story of how WWF works with local rice farmers to prevent land erosion at paddy fields through bioengineering methods.
