We can only imagine Yollie’s despair when she saw the car drive off into the distance. She was so scared and so confused and clearly had no idea how to survive out there on her own. A pet like Yollie doesn’t know how to negotiate the dangers of the roads. She is not equipped to handle a meeting with a pack of street dogs, and she hasn’t learnt the skills needed to find the food and water to survive. No pet should even have to try.

When she arrived at Soi Dog she was seriously malnourished and dehydrated. She was also suffering from a dangerous blood parasite and heart disease. This beautiful girl was truly in a bad state; we weren’t sure she would pull through.

But thankfully, Soi Dog supporters like you ensured that we had the resources to do everything possible. It took many months of specialist care, medication and love, but we are thrilled to tell you that Yollie is now feeling so much better. Just look at her in the last two photos! 🧡

Although Yollie is still suffering from a blood parasite and a few other health conditions, she really had come on leaps and bounds in her recovery. This gorgeous girl is finally starting to trust people again. After the terrible way she was treated by people, we are blown away by her adorable, sweet and friendly nature. And with your help, we can continue to be there with her for every paw-step of her journey. 🐾

The Covid-19 crisis is having a huge impact not only on homeless animals, but on loyal pets like Yollie too. Heartbreakingly, we are seeing a significant increase in abandoned pets at this time.
