Our most senior dogggo Kobe – who is believed to be about 17 – had a close shave. He had a tumour growing in his tail and surgery was arranged. Since he is very old, an EKG was done and it found that Kobe had a strong and healthy heart. Do he was given GA but they could not intubate him to insert the tube that would help him breathe during the procedure. So the surgery was called off. A few days later, the chief vet successfully conducted the surgery and the growth has been removed. We would be grateful for help to meet Kobe’s bill at Gasing. Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
