Update on Bailey: Rescued on 9 Dec – from Taman Damai Indah Cheras flat, lived there for quite sometime. Was informed of the doggo having difficulty walking and and eye infection. Admitted at St. Angel. He is anaemic and his hind legs seemed to be injured. Can’t stand or walk properly and was rescued groaming in a drain. His liver and kidney functions are all good but the sad part is there are a lot of stones and sand inside his stomach. It is believed he was eating the sand and stones whenever he was hungry. The vet tried to give laxative to remove the stones and sand naturally but there are still a few big stones and some sand inside his stomach. If given more laxative, there is a high chance for the big stones to get stuck in the intestines. Another option is to do surgery to remove the stones and to flush out all the sand.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
