Looks Like Its Going To Take Papa Dog A While Befo..

Looks like its going to take Papa Dog a while before he is reunited with his family. The fellow has his own set of problems. Feedback from the vet at St Angel where he is admitted.

Update on Johnny: Xray taken for Johnny and found his right hind leg bone is laxated from his pelvis. It looks like a old injury and thats the reason he is limping and he is losing muscle mass on that particular leg. The vet gave 2 options:

1. Surgery to cut the laxated femur that is causing the abrasion and Johnny needs to go for physio after that to strengthen up his leg n muscle

2. Leave the leg as it is and give painkiller whenever needed. But it will cause problems in the long run

Other than that, he is fine, distemper and parvo negative. He can’t see on his right eye. If we are okay to go for the surgery, the surgery will be done together with the nuetering.

WE HAVE DECIDED ON OPTION ONE TO GO ON WITH THE SURGERY. Please keep Johnny in your thoughts.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
