Casa Givesagain (to Cats, This Time)!

In December, managing director of Casa Doggie Store, Tan Chooi Chooi, organised a food donation drive for Meiji and they have since collected two batches of dogfood for Meiji.
First batch:http://myanimalcare.org/2011/12/07/meiji-at-casa-doggie-store/
Second batch:http://myanimalcare.org/2012/01/13/casa-sends-dogfood-and-treats-to-meiji-in-raub/
And a third project to raise funds for Meiji is coming up next on 4th February:
It’s called Ang Paws Furrez and it’s going to be a morning of fun and games. We’ll be there to sell out tshirts as well as a brand new product (Wait for it (if I can get the stock, that is)!! Hint: It’s food for your kidney health), and all proceeds from our sales on that day also goes to Meiji.
Well, you’d think Casa only donates to doggie concerns? Nope, not true. A few weeks ago, Chooi Chooi asked me to recommend a recipient as she also wants to donate cat stuff to any cat organisation or cat rescuer.
So, I recommended Maslinda Abdul Talib.
Maslinda has worked closely with us for more than a year now. She is a cat rescuer-fosterer-caregiver, and she attributes this to the example shown by her late mother who was also a cat person. There would be a time in their house where her family would be looking after 50 cats or so! These would be neighbourhood cats, those found in dire straits from the marketplace, etc.
Now, Maslinda lives in her family home which is situated in a safe and cat-friendly neighbourhood (how lucky!) and she continues her late mother’s legacy. This is what I’d call the most precious and valuable inheritance to pass down to our children – exemplary acts of kindness and wisdom.
We have helped Maslinda with quite a number of spay-neuter and medical cases, but whenever she can, she uses her own funds.
Despite not being in good health, Maslinda continues doing all she can for the cats. She works, too. Maslinda is a qualified swimming instructor.
In the unfortunate Petknode incident, Maslinda was one of the key persons behind the rescue operation, communicating with me throughout the whole week of rescue, especially on the first day.
Maslinda does not belong to any organisation per se; she functions independently but helps in all worthy cases.
So, here are the cat stuff that Casa has generously given to Maslinda’s cats.
From Maslinda:
I went to pick up the item this evening. pleased to meet Chooi Chooi and her husband Derek.
Enjoy, Kitties!!
And keep up the good work, Maslinda!
Thank you, Casa!
