Today, we have sweet little Chewee counting down to the New Year! If it weren’t for kind-hearted people like you, she would have suffered a completely different fate.

Chewee sliced her foot to the bone in an attempt to free herself from a fishing net 😰. The wound was severe, and our vets had no choice but to amputate. On top of that, she was diagnosed with a parasitic disease that could have been fatal if left untreated. Read her arrival story here: https://links.soidog.org/read-Chewees-story

Thankfully, after treatment, she was cleared of any blood parasite. It’s all thanks to your ongoing support that we are able to treat dogs like Chewee. This brave girl is doing so much better now. She’s bouncing along on three legs like a pro and continues to receive the special care she needs.

Sadly, her time on the streets has left her fearful of new people and surroundings. But rest assured that our behaviour team are doing everything they can to make sure Chewee gets a fighting chance at finding a home. 💪
