Imm�s Shelter Comes On Board�IF We Win!

I wrote to Judy Chua last week, asking if Phaik Imm could do with some funds for her 60 dogs and cats in her small shelter in Tambun, Ipoh. If you’ve been a reader of this blog, you’d know that Phaik Imm is 64 now and is still running her shelter with help from a few committed volunteers.

We did a one-time fund raising her last year and with very careful and stringent management, she has not needed to ask for anymore financial help since then. Also, we were lucky that two of our friends pledged monthly contributions and they have honoured their word to the letter – thank you, PC and Mr Chew!

Recently, Judy asked if we could help subsidise the spay-neuter of several new dogs that had been abandoned in front of Imm’s Shelter gates. I have always offered our subsidy help right from Day One, but Imm and Judy felt they should use the funds that we had raised for them in that one-time donation and they had actually never even asked for a subsidy for all the many medical treatments done for their dogs and cats.

So, anyway, Judy replied yesterday that this time, they would gratefully partake in this sharing of the Sunsuper Prize, so now, it is 11 NGOs whose animals we would be helping IF we win. Now, that’s a big “IF” there – we need more votes! So, let’s make our dream come true, and make this happen, folks!

The 11 NGOs whose animals we will be helping are: MDDB, SCRATCH, Second Chance (formerly Paws Mission), HOPE, Meiji�s Sanctuary, Papa Meow�s Sanctuary, Cherish Life Home, PASS, UTAR Passion for the Animals, Kim�s Shelter, Imm�s Shelter.

I know, “more men, less share”, but it’s all done in the spirit of rejoicing and sharing. After all, IF we win, I consider this “money from the heavens”, so anything from the heavens ought to be shared, shouldn’t it? And Sunsuper’s tagline is “to make the world a better place”. We need to reach out and share with “the world”!

But let us not count our chickens before they hatch, so please vote (if you haven’t done so) and forward the link to as many people as you can!
