An Oldie With A Remarkable Story!

An oldie with a remarkable story!

Our #seniordog of the week is 10-year-old dog meat trade survivor Layan. His world was turned upside down when he was snatched from the streets, packed into a cramped cage and thrown onto a truck bound for a slaughterhouse in Vietnam. We can only imagine how confused and scared he was.

Layan is just one of the brave dogs who was saved in the nick of time from an agonising fate in Soi Dog-led operations between 2011 and 2014. The illegal dog meat trade here in Thailand has since been abolished, but you can help dogs like Layan from being butchered for their meat in Vietnam today! Please donate now to help end this barbaric practice: https://links.soidog.org/donate-to-help-end-DMT

Because of an inner ear infection that was left untreated while he lived on the streets, Layan developed peripheral vestibular disorder which makes his head tilt slightly. However, he remains a happy, young-at-heart boy 🧡🐶 who is still hopeful that there’s a home out there for him. He certainly deserves it after everything he’s been through.

Supporters like you help dogs like Layan get their cheeky grin back. While he waits for someone like you to offer him his happy ever after, he now has a safe place where he receives the care he needs. Will you please give to ensure we can always help senior dogs like him? They deserve so much better than the misery of homelessness. https://links.soidog.org/donate-to-help-end-DMT
