To recap some of the simple ways to keep your pets safe and away from loud bangs and bright lights 🎆⁠

✔️Walk the woofers before it gets dark. Make sure the moggies cut their patrolling short and are back home early or take a break entirely and not go out at all today. ⁠

✔️Have those GPS trackers charged and collars with name tags with your details.⁠

⁠

✔️Have their ‘safe room’ ready. Plug in those calming pheromones early on.⁠

⁠

✔️Stay at home with them this evening. Watch a movie 📺 or play your favourite music 📻. Familiar noises will help to drown out the loud bangs.⁠

✔️Encourage other pet owners to join in to spread awareness about the effects of fireworks and crackers on pets. Get together as a community and discourage using loud firecrackers in your neighbourhood during this #fireworksseason which will continue over the next few weeks.⁠

✔️Put up notices and posters where possible asking people to be mindful about using fireworks in areas where there are pets or feral cats.⁠

✔️Share these tips on your local community group pages. Ask local pet loving stores to put up notices warning about hazards of fireworks on animals.⁠
