Poor Jonto. When he arrived at Soi Dog his whole ear was full of maggots and was decaying. We can’t imagine his pain. The ear canal was so infected that we can only assume he had been suffering for some time.

Jonto is in our cat hospital trying his absolute best to recover and the Soi Dog team is going to be there for him every step of the way. Not only did Jonto have this terrible wound, but he was also dangerously anaemic when he arrived. The team therefore had to wait until he was strong enough to do wound reconstruction surgery. He is certainly not out of the woods yet though, and he still has a way to go in his journey to recovery.
