When dogs like Johnny Cash are abandoned, they are put at very real risk of life-threatening harm. Whether that be from fighting with other dogs, getting hit by a car, being unable to find food and water and of course, being hurt by another unkind human. There are so many risks. In most cases, abandoned pets simply cannot survive on the streets. And they simply should not have to try.
