近期救援的浪浪伤势都很严重，尤其是这只被苍蝇蛆虫吃掉半颗脑袋的浪浪 😭
狗狗裸露的脑袋里钻满了密密麻麻的苍蝇虫，很恐怖、看似都有上千条，发出浓厚的恶臭，连我们在旁看的人都觉得难受，更不用说狗狗有多痛苦 ….
她的左耳甚至已经摇摇欲坠快掉下来，因为已经没有脑袋瓜可以让耳朵连着了 … 头部的软骨部分也已经被蛆虫吃个清光 😭
通常这样的伤势是已经拖了好长一段时间才会这么严重，如果有人能早点伸出援手，尽早喂狗狗吃药 (只要原地喂就可以，到兽医诊所买一颗药不到马币50) ，狗狗就可以少吃很多苦了！

好心的主治兽医为她取了名字，叫Margot.
Margot非常怕人， 但她的生命力超级惊人，伤至这个地步，她竟然还能进食，好在暂时没有生命危险

在马来西亚炎热的天气下，苍蝇蛆虫伤势是浪浪最普及的头号杀手！
只要浪浪受了一点伤，伤口的血腥味会吸引苍蝇去下蛋，孵出的苍蝇虫就会不断啃食浪浪的肉
从一毛钱大的小伤口，很快就会被苍蝇虫吃出一个大窟窿，如果继续恶化下去，浪浪甚至会因严重细菌感染、败血病而死
但这一切悲剧都是我们可以制止的！ 🙏
在浪浪伤口变得更糟之前，你可以买药原地喂它们，Nexgard, Simparica, Panoramis等等都可以杀除苍蝇虫，你可以拍下浪浪的伤势，到邻近的兽医诊所咨询兽医建议
(但如伤势已经非常严重，强烈建议送医治疗)
Margot需要很长一段时间才能完全康复

The strays we rescued recently have all suffered serious injuries, especially this one whose head was eaten flat by maggots 😭
The dog’s head is densely packed with so many maggots and they have been drilling inside horribly. There are thousands of them. Maggot wounds emit a strong bad smell. Even us standing at the side feel sick and uncomfortable, not to mention how painful and miserable the dog is ….
Her left ear was already shaky and was about to fall, because there was no head to let the ear attach to … The cartilage part of the head has also been eaten by maggots 😭
Usually this kind of injury has been delayed for a long time before it came to this serious stage. If someone can reach out a helping hand earlier and feed her medication, the dog need not to suffer this much.
(It needs less than RM50 to buy one pill at the veterinary clinic that can kill the maggots)

The kind veterinarian named her Margot.
Margot is very scared of people, but her vitality is so amazing, to this point, she still has appetite to eat, and fortunately her life is not in danger.

In the hot weather in Malaysia, Maggot Wounds are the very common injury and fatal killer for the poor strays.
As long as they get a wound (especially a place it can’t lick) the bloody smell of the wound will attract flies to lay eggs, and the eggs hatch in thousands of maggots and they have a voracious appetite. Essentially the larvae are eating the dog alive and they can do it quickly.
From a small puncture wound, it can easily turn into a huge maggot wound. If the wound continues to deteriorate, stray cat/dog will die due to severe bacterial infections and septicemia.
But all these tragedies are something we can stop easily! 🙏
Before the wound gets worse, you can get medicine to feed them on the spot. Nexgard, Simparica, Panoramis, etc can kill maggots. You can take pictures of the stray’s injuries and consult your nearby veterinary clinic.
(But if the injury is already very serious, it is strongly recommended to send the dog/cat to vet clinic for treatment)
Margot needs a long time to fully recover.
