What’s in a name? 🤔

The most recent updates we shared were of some of our #SoiDogRescues named Naonao, Jicha & Jemos, Namfon, Yarwan and Jerla.

Did you ever wonder where and how these and all the other names of the animals at Soi Dog came to be?⁠

⁠

Whenever an animal enters our hospital for treatment, they will always receive a name for identification.⁠ Our rescues are street animals with no names and this is where their journey towards a happy life begins.⁠

⁠

With at least 20 animals coming in for treatment every single day, how can you continue to be creative whilst managing a system to easily identify these animals especially when orphaned littermates arrive?

⁠

Thanks to our front office team who are entrusted with not only the fun task of naming the animals but, managing all records of animals upon arrival at our hospital.⁠

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals.
