Dog rescue is emotionally draining. This mother dog, believed to have suffered a raptured mammary gland tumour, had been lying there bleeding for four days. We only learnt about her today. We arranged for rescue but sadly mama dog died while on the way to the vet. She has six five week old puppies which we will be taking in to care for.
