Report by our teammate Ana Karmelic:

“He was found on snowy mountain in Serbia after 5 days of searching. Twelve people were included in search including my vet Marko and his team. Snow was very deep off the road and he would come to road only to eat what we left him, then run away. It was horror because hunters could shoot him. Wolves could attack him. I was scared for him. We had to take a box up the mountain as car or jeep can’t go, so we put food in box and caught him that way. We used a snow vehicle to get him down the mountain. He was very sick and was badly injured due to dogfighting. Also he had giardia and was heartworm positive. It took a long time to make him healthy and happy, but we did it. He is an amazing boy now, good to all dogs. He is very playful, loves to steel toys from others. He is sweetheart.”

Ana rescues dogs who are in extreme jeopardy. Harmony Fund helps provide food and shelter for Ana’s dogs each month, but she does have a significant debt to the foster care centers and the veterinarian.
