The Incredible Story Of A Dog Meat Trade Survivor ..

The incredible story of a dog meat trade survivor has captured the world’s attention!

A truck carrying around 1,000 dogs, including beloved Miracle, was intercepted by Soi Dog agents in Nakhon Phanom province, Thailand, in 2013. These dogs were spared the horrific ordeal of being transported for days in cramped cages only to be tortured before their slaughter.

Fast forward seven years and Miracle, accompanied by his adopter Amanda Leask, has made it through to the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent 🎉. This goes to show that miracles do happen and that fighting against the dog meat trade is not a lost cause.

Although the dog meat trade is now non-existent in Thailand, our fight is not yet over. We continue to work to end dog and cat meat consumption across Asia, and in particular Vietnam, where we have been in talks with the Hanoi authorities for a number of years concerning the proposition of implementing a full ban. Vietnam is now the largest consumer of both dog and cat meat in the world, assuming it ends in China as announced in May.

Please continue to support us in fighting the dog meat trade in Asia by going to: https://links.soidog.org/save-dogs-from-meattrade as well as urging influential people and celebrities to support this campaign.

Time is ticking…
