September Is Happy Cat Month.

Soi Dog Foundation is joining in the #HappyCatMonth celebrations this September 😻.

Between our hospital and cattery, Soi Dog cares for over 330 cats and, with the current crisis, this number is increasing by the day. All kitties are deserving of love and care, especially those who are homeless and overlooked. That’s why we continue to rescue and rehabilitate desperate street cats in need of urgent help. Happy Cat Month helps spread awareness about the health and welfare of cats. As well as standard medical check-ups with the vets, good diet and socialisation, it’s important for the health and happiness of our cats that their environment stays clean. We were therefore grateful to receive a large donation of recycled paper recently from our local supporters which we shredded and used as litter for feline patients in our specialist cat hospital. It’s important for both healthy and hospice cats to have a clean litter station. Medical problems can arise from a dirty litter box, such as Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) or the more life-threatening Feline Urethral Obstruction (FUO).

Let’s continue to give the best to our feline friends and, if we can help the environment along the way, then that’s an added bonus 🙌.
