At just three years old, Baru has already been through more than most cats will in an entire lifetime. Please click here to join our community of cat lovers and transform lives like Baru’s today: https://links.soidog.org/help-suffering-street-cats

Homeless cats like Baru face a myriad of threats when they have no one to protect them and are living on the streets. Even with superb reflexes and great instincts, terrible things can easily and often happen to street cats. This fair-furred feline may have survived out there on his own for a few years, but in just one moment, everything changed. Baru somehow seriously injured his paw and needed help fast.

Baru’s injury was so bad and infected that the only way to end his suffering was to amputate the leg. Sadly, though, his bad luck didn’t end there. The vets soon discovered that he had a terrible case of cat flu and that he has FeLV; a highly infectious feline disease. It really was touch and go whether he would survive.

But all because amazing people like you hate to see animals suffer, Baru got the life-saving care he needed. Day by day his incredible will to survive shone through. And about a month later, this little trouper finally started to turn a corner.

Although Baru has FeLV, he is otherwise in good health and has adapted well to three-legged life. But with the number of cats in need of help on the increase and our resources stretched to the limits, we need you to take action if we are to save more defenceless cats like Baru from misery.
