Dont Fall For Fake Mews. Black Cats Are Photogenic..

Don’t fall for fake mews. Black cats ARE photogenic, says soi cat Banburi!

Unlucky, unphotogenic and unnoticeable – these are just some of the moggie myths that leave black cats at the bottom of the list for adoption. This #BlackCatsAppreciationMonth, we’re setting out to bust some of these myths and find homes for the shelter’s dark-furred feline friends.

Many of the myths that surround black cats date back to the Middle Ages. But there’s a new one that’s emerged more recently, one that speaks to our love for selfies and social media: that black cats aren’t photogenic 📷

Of course, we believe that a cat is a loving companion, not a prop for Instagram, and that their worth has nothing to do with how many likes or followers they might get you. But soi cat Banburi insisted that we show you some of her photos here in the hopes that people won’t fall for this fake mews any longer!

As you can see, this girl knows all about taking the purrfect selfie. She knows the angles that make her golden eyes pop. She knows how to keep her fur flawless and photoshoot ready. And she knows how to look straight down the lens and into your heart.

But despite pulling her best poses, Banburi has been waiting for 367 days for someone to whisk her away. Will you make sure she doesn’t wait a day longer?

Thanks to a generous donor, she will have the cost of her travel to her forever home reduced! https://links.soidog.org/give-Banburi-a-home
