Hey, I’m Torsaeng which means “shining” in Thailand where I’m from. The humans who know me personally will testify that there’s no better name for me – my fun-loving personality, glossy chocolate-brown fur and amber eyes all shine so bright! I’m also a shining example of how incredibly resilient street dogs are. You see, when I was just a year old, I was the victim of a terrible car accident. My hip joints and part of my left thigh were badly fractured, and I found myself totally unable to move as the car sped off into the distance.
Getting back on four paws again was far from easy – I needed two surgeries and plenty of physio at Soi Dog – but with lots of doggie determination, I bounced back brighter than ever before. Despite everything I’ve been through, I remain one of the sweetest and most friendly dogs around.
Because of my ordeal, I have a slightly wobbly walk and need to be careful not to overexert myself when I’m exercising. I try to remember this, but sometimes I get carried away, especially when there are tennis balls involved. I just love kicking them around with my front paws like little footballs before chasing, pouncing on and chewing them. If there was a Soi Dog FC, I’d be their striker and star player!
After every match of doggie football, I like to jump into the nearest tub of water to cool off. I’m a real water baby and find it so relaxing to dip my paws in tubs, puddles, baths and even my water bowl.
I can’t wait to play and make a splash with a family of my own. Can you help me? I know I could shine even brighter with you by my side! https://links.soidog.org/enquire-about-Torsaeng
