Happy 1 Year Gotcha Day Anniversary To Minnie, For..

Happy 1⃣ year Gotcha Day anniversary to Minnie, former soi dog❣️

Poor Minnie was one of the thousands of dogs rounded up in Nakhon Phanom in northern Thailand as a reactive response to an exaggerated rabies scare. She was thankfully rescued from a makeshift government facility that housed over 3,000 dogs and brought to our Phuket shelter in April 2019 and, before long, was picked up by one of our partner rescue, Furever Furbaby Rescue in Ontario.

This quiet and gentle girl made the long journey from Thailand to Canada to start her new life in August 2019. Thanks to Soi Dog Canada for making sure she arrived safely at the airport and giving her a very warm welcome. We weren’t surprised when we heard Minnie got adopted almost immediately. How could anyone not fall for such a face? 🐶 Here’s a lovey update we recently received from Minnie’s adopter.

“I adopted sweet Minnie girl just over a year ago. We have been meaning to send you an update on her. She is doing so well and is the most lovable girl! We are still working on socializing her, as she is still scared of people and other dogs. Minnie is enjoying Canada and has travelled all around with us.”

Every year, many of our rescued dogs and cats manage to find their forever homes thanks to our partner rescues in the USA and Canada. To find out more about our Partner Rescue Programme, drop us an email at partnerrescue@soidog.org

Thank you to all who played such a vital role in Minnie’s transition from abandoned street dog to pampered pet and giving her a #furrytailending she truly deserves.

By adopting a soi dog or soi cat, you will be saving two lives as this frees up space in our shelter for another animal in need.
