OVERWHELMING DEMAND FOR PET FOOD SUPPORT

On 4 Aug, we launched the SPCA Covid-19 Pet Food Support Programme to help animal caregivers who are struggling financially during this difficult time.

Since then, we have received an overwhelming 489 applications, seeking support for almost 1,500 animals, with more coming in daily. Many people are clearly suffering in this crisis.

We estimate that over $200,000 will be required to provide all applicants with pet food for 3-4 months.

We had set aside $50,000 of SPCA’s funds for this programme and have so far received ~$30,000 in donations on giving.sg from amazing people like you in our community. We will stretch every dollar to help animals not go hungry with food purchased at the lowest rate specially offered to us by Hill’s.

Earlier this week, our programme partner, Kohepets, started delivering food to the homes of beneficiaries. But to feed more mouths, we need more hands.
