Some say that black cats don’t stand out. Soi cat Wowthree is out to prove that this is fake mews❗

Unlucky, unphotogenic and unnoticeable – these are just some of the moggie myths that leave black cats at the bottom of the list for adoption. This #BlackCatsAppreciationMonth, we’re setting out to bust some of these myths and find homes for the shelter’s dark-furred feline friends.

It’s been said that, in a shelter setting, black cats don’t stand out next to their more colourful cousins. With tabbies, torties, tricolours and more all competing for an adopter’s attention, some say that cats with darker coats disappear into the shadows.

However, our very own black cat Wowthree is determined to prove that this is fake mews! This kooky kitty – who was dumped outside our hospital when he was just three months old – is a total pro at first impressions. He makes sure that all visitors to his suite know he’s there with a repertoire of tricks that includes touching his nose with his tongue, leaping three times his height and jumping hurdles over his fellow felines. A born entertainer.😻
