From A Street Pup To A Pampered Pooch. Miney Was O..

From a street pup to a pampered pooch 🐶.

Miney was only a few weeks old when she was found limping on the streets. As you can imagine, it was not the safest place for a new born pup. She was extremely skinny and weak. We may never know what happened to her mother, but we were glad she was rescued in time.

This scruffy girl arrived at our dog hospital in April 2018 and it wasn’t long before she got picked up by one of our partner rescues in Canada, Snookie’s Society. Thanks to Soi Dog Canada, Miney arrived safely at the airport and her adopters were eagerly waiting to meet her. Sweet Miney finally received a #furrytailending she deserved!

“Miney is in total charge of our home and in charge of us. Miney is so well behaved, sweet, playful, endearing, mischievous, flirtatious, clever. She is the love of our lives. She talks to us with her special noises and barks, very vocal. That was a surprise. So, so intelligent! She sleeps in the bed at our feet.

First she bonded with me only, then I had to go away on a short ship contract, and then she finally bonded beautifully with Gyula so now she has TWO loving Daddies and she listens to both of us and is totally devoted to both. She is so clever and you can see her thinking and reasoning with things. She loves all her toys and treats and boy she is very demanding when she wants to play. She’s the Queen of the castle!

She likes the small dog park, but doesn’t interact with every dog. She travels well and loves the car. She likes smaller dogs though and she has bonded with our nephew’s dog, a small Klee Klai named Luke who became like a boyfriend. Until Covid we had doggie dates every week. But I will tell you we couldn’t make it through this without her. She is the sunshine in a very cloudy world. The groomer loves her, the vet loves her and believe me we always sing Soi Dog’s praises along with Christine at Snookies”. – Vincent and Gyula, Miney’s adopters.

We highly value our partner rescues organisations’ efforts to rehome defenseless dogs and cats rescued from the streets of Thailand. The attention and support they give to these vulnerable animals and their new adopters is invaluable. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts, and we look forward to more adoptions once international flights resume!

Soi Dog continues to find forever homes for the animals in our care. There’s more than one way to adopt a soi dog or a soi cat, so get in touch with one of our partner rescues in the USA and Canada today. For more information, email: partnerrescue@soidog.org
