Many people ask, “What are the requirements for adoption?”

Keeping a pet is equivalent to putting another life on one’s shoulders.

Pet owners must have kindness to animals and being responsible. When encountering any problems, the first is not to blame the furkids or give them up easily, but to know how to stand in their position and think for them, accompany them to solve any problem occurred, and walk together to the last moment of their life.

Since the RMCO, our shelter have opened for adopters by appointment basis, and we will have a new opening time in September! Details will be announced soon 🙏

As HOPE shelter is extremely fully occupied now, it is really difficult for us to take in new rescue … but we really hope to continue to help more suffering homeless lives.

At present, we implement the system of “one out, and one in”. As long as one rescued dog/cat is adopted, our shelter will have an available space to bring in the next stray in need. We hope everyone can help us to actively promote the concept of “ADOPT, DON’T SHOP” to save lives, tqvm ❤🙏

Homeless & Orphan Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter that aims to improve welfare of strays and abandoned pets around Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Our four core missions are rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. Currently, we are caring for approximately 700 abandoned animals in our shelter located at Lima Kedai.
