OUR SINGAPORE SPECIALS: BAXTER (UP FOR ADOPTION) 🇸🇬

Today is Day 2570 since Baxter came into the SPCA as a 1-month-old puppy in 2013, shy and clueless about our world. As he was too young to be on his own, a volunteer fostered him until he was old enough to be adopted. However, Baxter did not have luck in finding a family.

As part of the enrichment program for long-term stayers, Baxter was introduced to Nosework; an excellent form of dog enrichment for mental stimulation and relaxation through sniffing. We started in a place he was comfortable in – his kennel. Slowly, we progressed to an outside environment and onto more difficult searches while making sure he enjoyed himself. In the picture, you can see Baxter performing a search. Out of 10 boxes, only one has food, and he easily found it!
