Soi Dog’s co-founder, John Dalley kept to his promise this month to walk 60 miles and lots of our shelter residents for the #julydogwalkingchallenge.

All donations made to John’s fundraiser will help Soi Dog’s operations at this very tough time during which we are seeing an increase in the number of injured and vulnerable animals who need help.

John also hopes to allocate some of these funds to help some adopted animals get to their new homes. Since the start of the Covid-19 crisis, we have not been able to fly any of our adopted dogs nor cats to their new homes overseas due to travel restrictions. This has resulted in a sharp increase in the shelter population over the last few months.

Currently we are caring for over 1,300 animals at Soi Dog’s shelter; all the while continuing to respond to emergency cases, carry out vital spay and neuter activities, as well as fight against the dog meat trade in countries like Vietnam and Cambodia. Every single day.
