Simple solutions to improve the life of rescue animals.

In celebration of #CraftForYourLocalShelterday we asked one of our cat caregivers Khun Chaam to share some of her DIY toys she creates for her patients at Soi Dog Foundations’ cat hospital.

Khun Chaam who is our toy whiz, uses every day materials found here in Thailand and freely around the shelter, like cardboard boxes and strings to create exciting toys for the cats, especially for those who are in isolation or quaratine units, to keep their spirits high and their minds sharp.

This is also a fun project for anyone who wants to help craft simple enrichment items for their local shelter (or even for their own kitty at home) just using cardboard boxes, old cloths and bedding.

Enrichment is vital for our rescue dogs and cats, both at home and in shelters and with simple and easy DIY items, you will not only enhance their lives but, will also exercise your creativity.

Plus, it’s a fun way to reuse materials that will be otherwise thrown away.
