SPCA RESCUES: CATS STUCK ON LEDGE
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Earlier this month, our rescue officer responded to two reports of cats found on the ledges of blocks at the 8th and 11th floor. One cat was said to be there for three days.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Crouched on all fours, our officer coaxed the cats gently; one wrong move could startle them and risk their lives. Thankfully, they were brought to safety and sent to SPCA for further checks. Both fur balls are doing well and if not claimed, will be placed for adoption!

High-rise syndrome (cats falling from heights) is an unfortunate yet common occurrence in Singapore. We see about five of such cases a week and half of them die on the spot. This is why SPCA requires all cat adopters to have their windows and gates meshed and to never let pets roam outside the home.
