Today marks the anniversary of the day Dr Jane Goodall first arrived on the shores of Lake Tanganyika to study the wild chimpanzees.
Not only did that lead to ground-breaking discoveries that totally redefined “mankind”, but has also led to a worldwide drive to be kinder and more compassionate towards the animals who share our planet.
