How Can You Resist Tabata's Smile?

I relish spending time with people. Anyone who strolls around the shelter with me or strokes my soft ears and caramel-coloured fur automatically becomes my best friend.

When I’m out for walkies, I sniff everything in my path – flowers, parked cars, other dogs – to drag it out for as long as possible. The volunteers haven’t worked it out yet, but this is my clever ploy to spend as much time with them as possible. My games of fetch can be lengthy too, but that’s because I tend to drop the ball out of clumsiness and sheer excitement!

It might be hard to believe, but I haven’t always been such a happy-go-lucky boy. When I first arrived at Soi Dog, I was depressed, covered in fleas and had an open wound above my eye from a head-on collision with a car. But I believe everything happens for a reason, and although that collision was awful, it led me to Soi Dog, and now I have a future to look forward to.
