Happy World Rainforest Day 2020

#DYK that rainforest is the oldest living ecosystem on Earth? Characterised by tall trees, as well as high humidity and rainfall, it also has rich plant and animal diversity.

Rainforests are vital in providing us the essentials for our survival and wellbeing such as the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat.

Drained by a river network, the rainforest in the water catchment of Setiu Wetlands in Terengganu is one of WWF-Malaysia’s priority landscapes. With CIMB Islamic as well as other partners including government agencies and universities, we generate information through studies and empower the community to participate in the sustainable management of the Setiu landscape.
