Maengern A.k.a Little Lady

We are featuring an amazing family this week as part of our #nopawsleftbehind month.

Four beautiful girls who struggled on the streets of Phuket with varying degrees of blindness are now looking for homes of their own.

This is the Mae or Gem family.

We’ve met Maepetch and Maeploy and now it’s Maengern (a.k.a Little Lady)’s turn.

Maegern, which translates into silver mother is unique and shines bright.

She is the one with the manners, yet playful and affectionate, making sure to greet everyone at the entrance of the run.

Of course, being blind means that new sounds and smells can be a bit scary but, with a bit of patience and time and possibly another confident yet gentle dog by her side, she will perservere and shine as a silver lining on a grey cloud.

The Mae family have been at the shelter for over a year now and they have learnt a lot being around other dogs and meeting new people. They are now ready to spread their wings and share some of their uniqueness with the rest of the world.

In other words they are ready to embark on a journey of their own.

Will you please help Maegern and her family?
