Besides Feeding The Sun Bears, Our Volunteer, Hui ..

Besides feeding the sun bears, our volunteer, Hui Wen at Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC) also helped to create enrichment programmes for the sun bears to reduce their stress level and prevent boredom 🐻

For example, banana leaves are good for the sun bears teeth as it cleans them 🦷 whereas the bouquet of ginger leaves with peanut butter hidden in the middle of the bunch is for the sun bears to try and eat all the peanut butter in the center… it’s just like a puzzle! 🤪

The idea of enrichment is to stimulate the animals and improve their living conditions as much as possible to mimic their natural habitat.
