Today’s the day! A bronze statue of Dr. Goodall has been unveiled in honor of #womensequalityday ! The art project titled ‘Statues for Equality’ by Gillie and Marc Art was opened to the public today in NYC. In New York, less than 3% of statues are of women, and globally it is not much better. Jane’s likeness in bronze will be joined by other incredible women like Janet Mock, Oprah Winfrey, P!nk, Gabby Douglas, Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Tererai Trent International Foundation, Tracy Dyson , and Cheryl Strayed.
