Over 820 million people suffer from hunger, even more so suffer from being overweight and obese ๐
World Food Day not only aims to raise awareness on tackling global hunger, but also aims to promote healthy and nutritious diets for everyone! ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ
As we all know, food is one of the many basic necessities for a human being to survive, moreover a nutritious diet! All of us play important roles and we can all collectively help in this cause ๐ช๐ป.
So here are some tips for you to adopt a healthy diet:
๐ Consume more vegetable ๐ฅ, fruits ๐ and even nuts !
๐ Say no ๐ โ to processed foods ๐ and drinks. For starters, you could reduce your intake of carbonated drinks !
๐ Swap things up: Have the occasional brown rice instead of white rice ๐ for more nutritional benefit! This includes wholemeal bread too! ๐
๐ Fats: Good or bad? ๐ค Unsaturated fats (commonly found in fish ๐ and nuts) are recommended in a healthy diet, however be aware of trans-fat and saturated fats found in fried foods ๐ค and butter!
