Further Clarification On Our Subsidy Scheme
Tweet |
A few rescuers have communicated with me over this subsidy-only scheme that we implemented with immediate effect on 5th January. I will not repeat whatever I had written inhttp://myanimalcare.org/2012/01/05/only-subsidy-scheme-for-spay-neuter/as that should be self-explanatory.
But I wish to clarify that we have no more panel vets now for spay-neuter, medical treatment or vaccinations, so you don’t have to contact me to make appointments to get our previous rescue rates (which we used to fully sponsor). You don’t even have to send me smses before and after (save your 30 sen!). All you have to do if you wish for a subsidy is to apply for one and follow the proper procedures (send me the photo and documentations required).
Now, you have the freedom of using a vet of your choice, for geographical convenience or familiarity, which is better, because you’d be working with a vet whom you know and trust. If you need a subsidy from us, we offer the following: http://myanimalcare.org/subsidy/. Please click on the link, follow the procedures to submit an application.
1. Apply with a photo of the animal and a write-up about what is needed.
2. Choose your own vet, get the procedure done, pay the vet, get an itemised receipt.
3. Fill up our claim form, post the form and original receipt to me.
That’s all it takes.
Additional option – send updates about the animal – we’d appreciate that very much.
Also, please remember that vets are professionals and they run a practice. If, on their own, they offer a rescue rate, that would be really kind and generous of them. If they don’t, that’s also their right.
As an organisation, we do not want to ask vets for a rescue rate anymore, especially when we deal with strangers all the time and we do not have the resources to verify the authenticity of each “rescuer” who asks for help.
Hence, this subsidy-only scheme works out very well and is justified. We want to support our community vets and do not want them to suffer losses due to fraudulent “rescuers”.
For the genuine ones, if you still prefer a rescue rate, you may wish to source out vets who offer such privileges. Otherwise, please pay the full rate and you may claim a subsidy from us.
Let’s work with trust, respect, responsibility and honesty, and let’s work together with proper ethics and values.
