‘Nyingdu’ is recovering from massive surgery; a forelimb amputation to get rid of an aggressive soft tissue tumour (sarcoma) around her left carpus that started to rapidly grow. She’s an absolute trooper and adjusting really well to being a geriatric tripod. She’s almost 17 years old but doesn’t show her age. I was born overseas and grew up in Lebanon. About 9 years ago, I left my family and friends behind to pursue my dream of becoming a veterinarian in Australia.
