Today Got To Get Involved In Trying To Rescue This..

Today got to get involved in trying to rescue this exquisite native creature. Noticed member of public distressed and trying to stop him crossing a busy road. Got blankets from other passers by that wanted to offer assistance. Managed to safely restrain him with all the blankets and transport him to my clinic. Team of 3 vets, triaged him with sedatives,pain relief and IV fluids, assessed his wounds and took x-rays. Consulted wildlife vet experts and unfortunately all his left forepaw fingers were fractured and so he had to be put to sleep. We got him eucalyptus leaves to munch on as his last meal which he wasn’t interested in. I am thankful for everyone involved. At least we gave him every chance and ended his suffering.
