This is Pete. Some months ago, close to a year, when we were at Shah Alam dog catching, we saw Pete. He was fed by a foreigner security guard at a guardhouse of a gated residential area. We noticed that his right paw was gone due to a road accident. We brought him for checkup and got him neutered. The vet who examined his injured leg said there was no need for an amputation. So we released him back to where he was as the guard was feeding and taking care of him. Last month we were there again doing some dog catchings and we were told that the security guard will no long be able to take care of him as his contract has ended. At the same time, we noticed that his severed leg was infected. We took him to our panel clinic again to treat the wound. This time, an amputation was performed. Now Pete is still boarded at the clinic as his surgical wound has not been completely healed. When he’s discharged later, he will be going to our transit centre as no one will be able to feed him if we are to release him back to the same place.
