We agree! We believe that skills are wayyyyyy more important.
That's why we accept interns even though they don't have a "relevant" degree. We've accepted interns who were doing medicine and veterinary degrees.
We also believe that skills can be taught. Hence, we focus on teaching and training our interns the necessary skills to excel in their career.
Because, where else to learn if not from an NGO where you're expected to be the accountant, teacher, trainer, PR officer, reporter, photographer, writer, videographer, researcher, social scientist, tour guide, entrepreneur, all rolled into one? :D
Schools can no longer insulate its students from the unpredictability of technological progression and disruption. The result: new, nontraditional education options are beginning to proliferate.
