Some of our merchandise such as straw pouches, bandannas, batu seremban, multipurpose lotion and drawstring bags are made by the local women community of Kg. Pasir Gajah, where the majority of these women are housewives. Our community empowerment programme provides opportunities for local women to generate their own income, that will along the way, improve their quality of life.

We are working together with the local women community of Kg. Pasir Gajah, Kemaman to produce exclusive products that feature our critically endangered river terrapins. This community engagement and empowerment programme opens up a host of opportunities for the ladies to not only generate their own income while being a full-time housewives, but also boosts their self-esteem.

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011. The aim of the society is to bring about the recovery of depleted wild populations of turtles, with particular reference to freshwater turtles, in Malaysia through partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and local communities as well as through its own programs.
