Thank you Happy Go KL – All About Kuala Lumpur for Families for supporting our terrapin conservation efforts! Thank you also to everybody who has purchased the card and board games!



As you know, we donate RM1 for each game sold to nature conservation. This year, we support Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia – they do a fantastic job protecting the river terrapins in Kemaman. On our recent visit the kids had the opportunity to get involved in the work they do during hatching season: marking and measuring the baby turtles. What an experience!

Check out their page and website for Turtle Discovery Trips, that run on the weekends or can be tailored for groups. The Annual Terrapin Release take place on 5th October – if you are thinking of heading to the East Coast, make a note of the date!

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011. The aim of the society is to bring about the recovery of depleted wild populations of turtles, with particular reference to freshwater turtles, in Malaysia through partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and local communities as well as through its own programs.
