We are very big on education. That’s why this year, we’re organising 12 awareness programmes with secondary school students in Terengganu.

To expose the students and teachers to wildlife and conservation issues, we’re also inviting 10 other organisations to join us, ie Department of Environment, @officialumt, @seatru_umt, @malaysiannaturesociety @ecocarekertih, @wwfmy, @dofmalaysia, @perhilitan_malaysia, Kemaman Zoo and Team Selamatkan Tenggiling Kita @chongjlzoo.

SMK Batu Rakit was our third school, after SMK Chukai and SMK Chung Hwa Wei Sin. To date, we have spoken to more than 2,300 secondary school students. Looking forward to spreading #turtle #conservation #awareness to thousands more this year!

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011. The aim of the society is to bring about the recovery of depleted wild populations of turtles, with particular reference to freshwater turtles, in Malaysia through partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and local communities as well as through its own programs.
